The description of services intended for purchase from a Single Source is posted in accordance with section 287.057(3)(c), Florida Statutes and will be posted for a minimum of 7 business days. This is a Notice for a Sole Source Source designation for Clay County Board of County Commissioners. Commodity or Service Required: MX908 Handheld High Pressure Mass Spectrometer (HPMS™) Justification for Single/Sole Source Acquisition: Clay County's Fire Rescue Hazmat team is a Regional Response team. The Regional Domestic Security Task Force HAZMAT Standard Operations Guide requires regional response teams to provide an Ion Mobility Spectrometer during responses that detects chemical warfare agents. 908 Devices Inc. is the only authorized point of service, support, and maintenance for these systems, including certified training, warranty, repair, upgrades and technical support. MX908 is the only available handheld HPMS (high pressure mass spec) on the market for use in Public Safety. Recommended Procurement Approach: For the reason stated above, Clay County Purchasing Department intends to utilize the Sole Source Procurement method to contract with 908 Devices Inc. for supplying the above.
