(1) Vendor needs to provide artificial intelligence (AI) transportation systems management and operations data initiative solution.• AI TSMO data initiative Research & Development (R&D) effort is to enhance the safety, efficiency, and resilience of the highway transportation system by identifying, clarifying, and addressing data‑related barriers that limit the effective use of AI within agency.• Identify the highest–priority data–related challenges limiting the use of AI in TSMO• Develop prototype solutions for data challenges limiting the use of AI in TSMO for at least 2 AI–TSMO use cases• Develop an inventory of national data sources that can best support the chosen AITSMO use cases, including gap assessments of the sources in terms of the need types outlined above (e.g., scope, features).• Develop at least two preliminary prototypes (e.g., algorithms and models) to address high–priority data–related gaps and challenges faced by at least one AITSMO use case• Data or model benchmarks for the highest–priority AI–TSMO use case by leveraging the knowledge on AI models, data sources, and prototypes developed in the base period of the project
