The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) The Biotechnology Core Facility Branch (BCFB) within the Division of Core Laboratory and Scientific Resources (DCLSR) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to AB SCIEX, LLC. 1201 Radio rd, CA 94065–1217. Under the authority of FAR 13.106–1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of this procurement is to procure an annual preventative maintenance agreement for the AB SCIEX PACE MDQ Plus Capillary System.The contractor will provide a Full–Service Contract for equipment maintenance of the following systemPACE MDQ PlusB525230047SECTION 4 TASKS TO BE PERFORMEDProvide equipment maintenance of the AB–SCIEX MDQ Plus Capillary system.Provide all labor, travel, and parts with unlimited breakdown calls includedProvide one scheduled Preventative Maintenance visit per year which includes a full system diagnostic using software and critical parts exchangedPriority response for all breakdown calls within 24 to 48 hoursThe instrument that is part of the service contract has many proprietary parts manufactured and sold exclusive by the proposed vendor, AB SCIEX, LLC. AB–SCIEX is the sole manufacturer of the systems and provider of maintenance services through company. No other companies manufactured products are compatible with the servicing instruments.The anticipated award date of this action is on or before Aug, 01, 2026. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide the warranties and proof as being an authorized distributor of the product. Capability statements shall not exceed 2 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10–point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order.
