Indigent Body Removal and Disposition Services

The County of Orange Sheriff's Department is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide Indigent Body Removal and Disposition Services utilizing the Scope of Work located in Attachment A of suggested Model Contract. The department intends to establish a three contract with the option to renew for two additional one- year terms with a slate of vendors who are qualified to provide physical transfer and holding of indigent decedents, filing/refiling of required documents (death certificate and disposition permit) prior to cremation, and the cremation, one year storage, and final disposition of the cremated remains (aka “cremains”) in a lawful and timely manner .
