Description

This notice is being published in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract. The statutory authority for this sole- source procurement is 41 United States Code 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106(b)(1)(i), For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, (i) Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization).The United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District (NAB) intends to solicit and award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Worldawake INC of Oak Harbor, Washington to provide development and implementation of partnering and coaching sessions for the benefit of the Deactivated Nuclear Power Plant Program (DNPPP), specifically the Decommissioning and Dismantlement of the SM-1A Nuclear Reactor facility located on Fort Greely, Alaska. Worldawake INC has built a rapport with the team and demonstrated the ability to provide effective partnering sessions, accommodating unique scheduling and project dynamics to ensure positive advancement towards successful performance. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they meet the requirement. A determination to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
