NET-16817 - USA (Santa Maria, California) - Active Directory and Server Migration Service - Deadline August 14,2026

Vendor needs to provide active directory and server migration service to the government authority located in Santa Maria, CA. – Network infrastructure contains legacy domain controllers in need of an upgrade. • Upgrade/migrate legacy domain controllers in legacy hypervisor to new hypervisor with domain controllers operating on Windows Server 2025 with 2025 domain and functional forest level. • Raise legacy domain and forest functional levels to their highest supported level on legacy hypervisor to be eligible for role migration to the 2025 domain controllers on the new hypervisor. • Migrate agency in both forest and child domains. • Upgrade/migrate 2 legacy agency servers, including scope configurations, reservations, and failover settings to new Windows Server 2025 virtual machines (VMs) on new hypervisor. • Upgrade/migrate 2 legacy agency servers, including all lookup zones and configurations, and ensure redundancy and replication to new Windows Server 2025 VMs on new hypervisor. • Ensure minimal disruption to production services by providing testing and rollback plans. • Provide documentation and knowledge transfer / training. • Demote and decommission legacy servers. • Migration and conversion of an additional approximately 30 VMs to new hypervisor. These 30 VMs may include file shares, standalone SQL Servers, applications servers, print servers, Linux servers, etc. • This project encompasses comprehensive planning, configuration, conversion, and execution of migration activities, and the respondent will work closely with City staff to provide a project plan and timeline for this effort.
