– Vendor needs to provide bus rapid transit readiness study service to the government authority located in Baltimore, MD. – Provide study will identify the policy, institutional, operational, and infrastructure actions necessary to advance certain existing bus priority corridors toward potential service.– Focus on implementable near–term improvements that enhance current bus operations while establishing the foundation for future Bus Rapid Transit Readiness (BRT) investments.– Evaluate four potential bus rapid transit corridors for their readiness to support future service increases associated with BRT.– Consultant shall assess the level of local and state alignment with elements of BRT service and identify issues to be addressed.– Identify the process to convert roads right–of–way into a dedicated transit lane at the local and state level.– Evaluate the feasibility of and support for enhanced stations including shelter, signage, and amenities and document process for plans to be approved by the relevant jurisdiction.– Convene bus rapid transit stakeholders from public transit agencies, local government, and state departments to align partners around common goals and priorities for advancing bus rapid transit.
