(1) Vendor needs to provide program specialist service for technical monitor to the government authority located in Jackson, MS. – Contract worker to serve as the final inspector for the state weatherization program to ensure home energy repairs are done safely and correctly.– This position requires regular field travel and working in tight spaces like attics and crawl spaces.– Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.; will require flexibility for occasional weekend travel) 1. Field Inspections & Quality Assurance• Inspect finished homes to approve or reject the work done by subgrantees and subcontractors.• Conduct physical evaluations in tight spaces like attics and crawl spaces.• Ensure all completed installations strictly conform to state and federal safety guidelines.2. Diagnostic Testing & Work Order Verification• Use diagnostic testing equipment like blower doors, duct testers, and gas detectors to verify home safety and energy savings.• Review original work orders to ensure all required insulation, sealing, and heating repairs were completed.• Review Energy Audit Reports for accuracy and compliance with DOE and state program requirements.3. Reporting, Paperwork & Community Liaison• Write detailed reports of any installation errors or safety violations that contractors must fix.• Talk to homeowners to explain the work completed and give tips on how to save energy.• Fill out official state paperwork and keep accurate, audit–ready project files.4. Coordination & Travel• Conduct extensive in–state travel to support regional field monitoring operations.• Conduct out–state travel for conferences and training as needed.• Coordinate travel schedules to include occasional weekend travel to meet field evaluation deadlines or training requirements.
