OAK LAWN-HOMETOWN SCH DIST 123 is seeking bids for the equipment cited below. Service Providers must provide separate itemized quotes for eligible versus ineligible items. Please provide the percentage of E-Rate eligibility for each item in your quote. Function: Firewall Service and Components Manufacturer / Model: Fortinet / FortiGate 201G or equivalent Key Performance Minimums Required: o Firewall Throughput: Minimum 39 Gbps o Threat Protection / NGFW Throughput: Minimum 6 Gbps: (Please quote both Three- and Five-year plans) o IPS Throughput: Minimum 9 Gbps o Capacity: 11 Million concurrent sessions, 400,000 new sessions/sec o Interfaces: 2 transceivers Minimum 4x 10GE SFP+ ports (w/ 10G-SR Optics), plus 6 x 1GbE/Multi-Gig RJ45 ports o Hardware: 1RU rack-mountable with dual power supplies Support & Services Options (BMIC / Software): o Please provide pricing options for 3-year and 5-year hardware support, TAC maintenance, and software updates/services (e.g., FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection, or equivalent). Cost Allocation Requirement: o Bidders must explicitly itemize and break out any non-E-rate eligible costs (such as advanced content filtering, standalone anti-spam, or unbundled threat intelligence feeds) as separate line items so we can easily allocate them out during Form 471. Provide a cost for the service to migrate from current firewall to new firewall Include two 10G SFP+ modules Please include the Installation and configuration costs separately. If applicable, please specify that the manufacturers warranty is provided as an integral part of an eligible component without separately identifiable cost. We are citing specific manufacturers and models to provide the specifications we need the product to meet. We will consider equivalent products if the service provider provides proof of equivalency and compatibility as part of its proposal. We retain the right to be the sole judge as to whether equivalency and/or compatibility has been proven and whether alternatives will be accepted. We will consider updated models if and only if they are fully compatible with the installed base. If other updated products are needed for proper functioning, please include those products separately with notation as to their need.
