ACAN 2026-0159 Negative-pressure biocontainment caging for mice, hamsters, and rats
University of Alberta
Description
The Department recently looking for Negative-pressure biocontainment caging for mice, hamsters, and rats. The requested systems are compatible with the existing Tecniplast infrastructure, including interchangeable blower units, filters, and water bottles. Purchasing from the original supplier avoids substantial duplication of equipment, spare parts, and consumables, while minimizing storage requirements, technical disruption, and the need to validate a second equipment platform for established facility procedures. Therefore, compatible products and services cannot be sourced from alternative suppliers. Based on the compatibility requirements I will recommend Techniplast USA Inc.
