Continuing Professional Transportation Engineering Consulting Services

Pursuant to the "Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act," Florida Statutes 287.055, the City of New Smyrna Beach, Florida (the “City”) is accepting sealed qualifications for Project Title . The intent of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to award multiple continuing agreements, establishing a pool of consultants to provide prompt and efficient consulting services to the City of New Smyrna. The services to be provided under this agreement will be provided on an as-needed basis using purchase orders issued by the City. In order to be considered for award and to be further evaluated, proposer must be registered professional within the State of Florida and have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the requested area of practice. The City makes no covenant or promise as to the number of available projects or that the firm(s) will perform any project for the City during the life of the basic contract. The basic contract does not authorize the performance of any work or require the City to place orders for work. Expiration of the term of the basic contract will have no effect upon task assignments issued pursuant to the basic contract and prior to the expiration date. Obligations entered therein by both parties shall remain in effect until completion of the work previously authorized by the City. The successful proposer(s) will hereinafter be referred to as “Professional Consultant”. It is anticipated that a minimum of three (3) individuals or firms may be selected for a contract period of Contract Length , with the possibility of Optional Extensions Time Frame , for a total of five (5) years. If made, the recommendation of award will be made to the best overall professional consultant(s) whose qualifications proposal is most advantageous to the City, taking into consideration the evaluation factors set forth in this document. During this period, the City shall reserve the right to seek qualifications and/or proposals from other individuals or firms for specialized projects, as deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
