Vendor needs to provide community center conceptual design service to the government authority located in South Carolina. – Gather the history (specifically the oral history) before it is lost and to create a conceptual design of a replacement facility that encompasses the history and culture of the community in a unique facility reflective of that culture.– Conducting recorded interviews, transcribing transcripts, archiving the data according to established standards (such as the American Alliance of Museums guidelines), and extracting core themes, motifs, and historical needs.– Conceptual Design: Translating the gathered histories into architectural concepts. This could mean designing a space that physically reflects the culture of the community, utilizing storytelling areas, or incorporating historical elements into the architecture.– Provide written or oral histories and provide the Town with a summary. The summary must include all emails, photographs, documents, and summaries of verbal conversations.– The Successful Offeror will translate the histories into architectural concepts and will provide the Town with a minimum of three (3) conceptual designs to choose from.– Draft conceptual designs for a new Community Center that encompass this history.– Review and analyze the input gained from community, in order to capture its history.– Require the lead entity to demonstrate a multidisciplinary team structure (e.g., Lead Architect, Anthropologist/Historian, and Community Facilitator).– Experience with similar civic, cultural, or community–driven projects.– A portfolio showing the ability to integrate community values into tangible design.
