Das hochverfügbare Rechenzentrum ARZ Mainz in der Walter-Hallstein-Straße 20 wurde im Dezember 2010 errichtet und entspricht dem TIER‑3-Standard. Das Rechenzentrum wurde zunächst in Ausbaustufe 1 realisiert, mit einer installierten USV-Leistung von 880 kW und einer Kälteleistung von 1.120 kW. Die geplante Endausbaustufe sieht eine Erweiterung auf 1.750 kW USV-Leistung sowie 2.220 kW Kälteleistung vor. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Ausschreibung ist das Los 2 "Kältetechnische Anlagen" zur Leistungserhöhung auf die Endausbaustufe.
