School Facilities Efficiency Study

The Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCS) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced firms to conduct a comprehensive, objective, and data-driven School Facilities Efficiency Study. The purpose of the study is to evaluate current and projected enrollment, school capacity, facility utilization and condition, demographic trends, financial considerations, and operational sustainability to help GSCS assess the long-term efficiency and effectiveness of its school facility footprint. The study may evaluate alternatives including, but not limited to: School consolidation or closure; Grade-level reconfiguration; Attendance boundary adjustments; Facility repurposing or alternative use; Changes to capacity or utilization; Co-location or shared use; and Other facility or organizational strategies supported by the study findings
