Core TDM Expansion (FHWA)
City of Seattle / Department of Transportation
Description
The contract will support the expansion of the City of Seattle's Transportation Demand Management (TDM) programs in support of Seattle’s Climate Change Response Framework and its target of 9/10 trips via carbon-zero options by 2030. The work completed under this contract will support sustainable trip-making by engaging key travel markets currently under-served or not currently served. The consultant will support development and implementation of neighborhood-specific engagement, education, and encouragement programs; supportive services to small and medium businesses and their employees; communications and guidance to employers to achieve awareness of and compliance with Seattle’s Commuter Benefit Ordinance; and TDM programming targeting visitor trips such as those to large downtown destinations / event venues. This project is anticipated to be federally funded in part through the FHWA. This project has a mandatory 19% DBE Goal.
