(1) Vendor needs to provide school safe routes service for safety audit and community travel plan to the government authority located in Schaumburg, IL.– Consultant to complete a safety audit or community travel plan that identifies opportunities to enhance sidewalk and bikeway connections to schools.– Focus for this safety audit includes 4 elementary and 2 junior high schools.– Evaluate updated development plans, public engagement survey data, student tallies, traffic data, and crash reports.– Map and inventory current sidewalk, bikeway, and crossing facilities within school walk zones and assess connectivity gaps, barriers, and safety concerns along primary school routes.– Review crash data, traffic volumes, and observed walking or biking patterns.– Develop an engagement strategy to engage parents, students, and staff through surveys, workshops, focus groups, walking audits, or other engagement activities to collect feedback on barriers to walking and biking, perceived safety issues, and desired improvements.– Identify priority routes for improvement based on safety, demand, and equity considerations.– Develop an implementation road map and phase action plan for potential projects, including short–term and long–term improvement strategies, and rank them according to feasibility and impact.– Prepare a list of short–term and long–term improvement strategies, including cost estimates, potential funding sources, and partnership opportunities.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than October 2, 2026.
