(1) Vendor needs to provide reimagining health and public safety overdose initiatives services to the government authority located in Washington, DC.– Use public health approaches that support people at high risk of overdose within or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system, are driven by local need, and are led by or partner with community–based organizations.– Develop responsive programming, public health and public safety partnerships should prioritize involving people at high risk of overdose, especially those with experience navigating the criminal justice system.– Help improve engagement and outcomes by ensuring that activities reflect day–to–day realities and prioritize the health, safety, and agency of those most impacted.– Engagement of people at high risk of overdose in project planning, implementation, and evaluation.– Sustainability planning involves assessing factors like funding, environmental and local official support, partnerships, organizational capacity and succession planning, evaluation, etc.(2) A pre–bid informational webinar will be held on October 8, 2026.
