DRA-11274 - USA (Smithfield, Virginia) - Archaeological Survey Services - Deadline September 11,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide archaeological survey services to the government authority located in Smithfield, VA.– Consultants to conduct a Phase I Archaeological Survey across the approximately 60–acre property.Task 1: Archival and literature review update:– Review relevant historic maps, land deeds, aerial photographs and local historical documentation concerning the estate, enslaved population records and modern land alterations.Task 2: Phase I archaeological field investigation:– Perform visual inspection of ground surfaces in ploughed or fallow fields, exposed ridges, cut lines and eroded areas.Task 3: Artifact laboratory analysis and curation preparation:– Clean, catalog and analyze all recovered cultural material in accordance with curation standards.– Classify artifacts by historic context, functional group, material type and diagnostic date ranges.Task 4: Reporting and submissions:– Consultant shall prepare a comprehensive, professionally illustrated archaeological survey report detailing findings, methodologies and management recommendations and submit.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 4, 2026.
