Description
(1) Vendor needs to provide outdoor warning sirens–installation, inspection and on–site maintenance service to the government authority located in Birmingham, AL. – Provide installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, software support, emergency response, and related services necessary to maintain and enhance the agency’s outdoor warning siren system. – Maintenance of the existing system or implementation of a new automated, polygon–based siren activation system compatible with Federal Signal Commander software and hardware all existing sirens within the agency system.– The system shall support individual and grouped siren activation, incorporate base mapping with street layers and adjustable views, and receive National Weather Service (NWS) data from multiple redundant sources.– Maintenance of the existing federal signal commander software and hardware including all associated system components at both the primary and backup locations.– Maintenance of the existing or installation of new polygon–activation software for the existing siren system.– Repairs of non–functional or fault–indicated sirens, including but not limited to components of the control box, siren motor housing, communication equipment, radios, and on–site vegetation removal as necessary.– As–needed maintenance of activation stations at both sites through remote support and on–site service. • Siren system includes:– 266 Federal Signal 2001AC sirens (ACFCTBDH two–way controllers)– 1 Federal Signal STH–10 siren (ACFCTBDH controller)– 3 Whelen omni–directional sirens at UAB (FCTBD controllers)– 2 Federal Signal SS2000D controllers/encoders– Federal Signal Commander PC & software (SFCDWARE Ver. 15.11.032)– 2 RapidWarn PC systems and software(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than August 14, 2026. (3) Pre–bid meeting will be held on August 5, 2026.
