Description
The Base Bid project scope generally consists of mechanical dredging within the dredging areas listed in the specifications and as shown on the Contract Drawings. Dredging in Carnival Bayou must be conducted to a required elevation of -4 feet mean low water (MLW) with an allowable overdredge tolerance to the elevation of -5 feet MLW. Dredging in Venetian Bayou, South Harbor, Bayside Center, and 14th Street Outfall must be conducted to a required elevation of -5 feet mean low water (MLW) with an allowable overdredge tolerance to the elevation of -6 feet MLW. Dredged material must be transported by barge from the removal areas to the offloading locations. The Route 52 CDF barge landing is available offloading locations designated for this Work and will be referenced as “Offloading Locations” in these Contract Documents. The estimated dredging volume for the Base Bid dredging operations is approximately 18,967 cubic yards (CY).
