Description
Seminole County Environmental Services Department is seeking the services of an experienced environmental consultant that holds the following credentials: a State of Florida Certified Prescribed Burn Manager, a Master Bird Bander, a Certified Arborist, a State of Florida Commercial Applicator's License for aquatic pest control (Category 5) and a Natural Area Weeds Management certificate (Category 21). The on staff Certified Burn Boss/Manager shall be able to write their own prescription, obtain a burn authorization number from the Florida Forestry Service, and manage the prescribed fire site. In addition, the consultant must show familiarization with applying fire as a tool within sensitive areas that contain listed species, such as: Florida Scrub- Jay, gopher tortoises (Gopherus Polyphemus), and Florida black bears (Ursus americanus floidanus). Estimated Annual Usage: $120,000.00
