CSE-24642 - USA (Santa Clara, California) - Security Improvements Design and Engineering Services - Deadline October 8,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide security improvements design and engineering services to the government authority located in Santa Clara, CA. – Provide design and engineering services for the fire station security improvements project. • Prepare a combined Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) bid package for the four fire station locations.• Evaluate and survey existing site and constraints, including access, site frontage, utility connections, topography, hazardous materials, etc.• Review and develop plans and specifications for construction of the agency’s security fencing layouts.• Evaluate existing electrical panels to determine available capacity for new gate operators.• Design electrical (conduit, wire, routing, etc.) for new gate operators.• Evaluate the proposed vehicle and pedestrian gate improvements for compliance with applicable ADA accessibility requirements. • Coordination with agency operations to maintain continuous emergency response access during construction.• Development of temporary access/control plans.• Verification of apparatus turning radii and required clearances at each station and incorporate emergency access features into the design, including Knox switches, failsafe/ fail–secure operation, and battery backup systems, as applicable.• Provide recommendations for additional security enhancements, refinements, or modifications not identified in the provided materials, as necessary to meet project objectives and improve overall site security, functionality, and constructability.• Provide all necessary design services, including architectural, civil, structural, and electrical design.• Provide support to agency in obtaining building and fire permits.• Prepare cost estimates for each design submittal.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 24, 2026.
