Sources Sought Notice Hospital Laundry ServicesThe Albuquerque Area Office (AAO), Indian Health Service (IHS), is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for informational and planning purposes only. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation, obligation, or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research to determine whether requirements can be met through a small business set–aside.PurposeThe purpose of this notice is to identify qualified sources and their business size classifications and socioeconomic status. This is an RFI only. It is not a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations.RequirementsNAICS Code: 812320NAICS Code Description: Drycleaning and Laundry Services (except Coin–Operated)PSC Code: S209 Housekeeping Laundry/DrycleaningProvide hospital laundry and dry–cleaning services for Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center. Services include pickup, laundering, drying, folding, pressing, packaging, and delivery, along with linen exchange, inventory tracking, and related reporting. The contractor shall provide all personnel, facilities, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary to perform the services. Facility laundry shall be processed separately from other laundry and protected from contamination.The contractor shall provide pickup and delivery on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, including holidays, in coordination with the facility.Estimated Laundry VolumeEstimated laundry quantities are:Rough dry: approximately 6,000 poundsFlat work: approximately 6,000 poundsFinish work: approximately 100 poundsDry cleaning: approximately 300 poundsEstimated laundry quantities are being verified. Interested vendors should describe their processing capacity and identify any minimum volume requirements or capacity limitations. Updated estimates will be provided in any subsequent solicitation.Similar NAICS codes will be considered. Interested vendors proposing an alternate NAICS code shall explain how it more accurately represents the principal purpose of this requirement.Anticipated Period of PerformanceA base period plus four option periods.
