CSE-24888 - USA (Gary, Indiana) - Armed Security Services - Deadline November 6,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide armed security services to the government authority located in Gary, IN. – Security personnel shall be employed by the Contractor, who shall be responsible for hiring, training, equipping, supervising, directing, discharging, and providing uniforms for all security services personnel.– All Security personnel being assigned to the Agency shall be consented to by the Transit Agency and hold a valid permit as an armed security guard.– The security personnel shall be responsible for providing security for Agency property, as well as, the protection of staff and patrons while on the Transit Agency properties.– Sample of duties of security personnel include but are not limited to the following:• Check and make sure all rooms and buildings are secured at the Agency’s set closing time.• Continually patrol the building and report questionable circumstances and activities to Agency representative and/or law enforcement agencies as the situation and time may dictate.• Maintain permanent records of all security activities. • Provide a point of contact for law enforcement and emergency services.• Provide security escorts for staff and patrons when requested by the Agency staff.• On–duty security personnel shall, as much as possible, assure safe and secure parking lots. Parking areas shall be patrolled on a regular basis during each shift.• The Contractor shall supply and maintain all equipment used by security personnel for performance of responsibilities of the contract (i.e. cellular telephone, radio, flashlights, etc).• Security personnel shall assist Agency staff in documenting accidents and incidents that may occur on Agency premises and vehicles. All reports shall be completed on the Agency’s Security Irregularities Report form.(2) Pre–bid meeting will be held on October 27, 2026.
