VISTA OPIOID SETTLEMENT FUNDS

The City of Vista (City) is a charter city, incorporated in 1963, located seven miles from the Pacific Ocean in northern San Diego County. Vista is approximately 19 square miles with a population of 98,381. On March 20, 2020, City Council adopted a Strategic Plan to Address Homelessness (Strategic Plan) that utilizes a three-pronged approach, blending services, resources, and enforcement to address the following primary goals: 1) Prevent Homelessness; 2) Improve Quality of Life; and 3) Reduce Homelessness. The Strategic Plan can be found online at https://www.vista.gov/departments/housing-homeless-services/homeless-strategic-plan . The City is announcing the availability of funds from California Opioid Settlements in support of the Strategic Plan through this Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). These funds aim to provide targeted support for individuals struggling with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and/or other Substance Use Disorders (SUD), with an emphasis on substance abuse treatment, substance use prevention or other educational opportunities, and substance use recovery. Any submission should provide reasoning on how it supports the Strategic Plan.
