Chelsea Public Library is seeking bids to replace end-of-life internal network infrastructure. The project includes one (1) 24-port PoE network switch, one (1) UPS/battery backup, fourteen (14) new network data drops, and two (2) wireless access points consisting of one indoor access point and one outdoor-rated access point to extend the library's network connectivity to the immediate exterior library property. For the Cabling service request, the quantity of 14 represents fourteen (14) network drops, not fourteen feet of cable. Bidders should determine the actual cable footage necessary to complete the 14 drops. Cabling should include all necessary eligible components, terminations, connectors, jacks/faceplates, patching, testing, labeling, and related installation. The project also includes relocation of the existing network rack as necessary to accommodate installation of the requested eligible network equipment. Bids should include installation, activation, initial configuration, and all eligible components and materials necessary for a complete and functional installation. Equivalent equipment that meets or exceeds the library's requirements will be considered. The library has no manufacturer preference.
