The West-MEC School District intends to establish a contract for the purchase of Welding and Fabrication Equipment, Supplies, Repair, and Maintenance Services. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) is intended to support multiple purchases throughout the school year. The purpose of this solicitation is to enter into a contract with qualified vendors capable of providing high-quality products and related services at competitive, fair market pricing. West-MEC currently operates five (5) campuses, with plans to open three (3) additional campuses during the term of the contract. Campus locations are listed below. Current Campuses Career Academy at Agua Fria 920 N. Dysart Rd. Avondale, AZ 85323 Central Campus 6997 N. Glen Harbor Blvd. Glendale, AZ 85307 Southwest Campus 500 N. Verrado Way Buckeye, AZ 85326 Northeast Campus 1617 W. Williams Dr. Phoenix, AZ 85027 Northwest Campus 13201 W. Grand Ave. Surprise, AZ 85374 Planned Future Campuses Southeast Campus – Opening 2026–2027 North Peoria Campus – Opening 2028–2029 South Peoria Campus – Opening 2028–2029 The Welding Program is currently located at all existing campuses, and deliveries for required materials and equipment will begin July 2026. Should additional welding programs be implemented at future campuses during the contract term, those locations will also require delivery and support services at that time. In addition to the Welding Programs, other West-MEC departments, including the Operations Department located at the District’s Corporate Office, may purchase products and services from the awarded vendor(s) under this contract when such items fall within the scope of this solicitation During the 2025–2026 school year, the District spent approximately $686,000 on welding and fabrication equipment, supplies, and related services. This figure is provided for informational purposes only and does not represent a guarantee of future spending. The successful vendor(s) must be capable of providing a broad range of welding equipment, supplies, parts, and related services, including delivery to all District locations. Vendors must also demonstrate the ability to provide responsive customer service and technical support to meet the needs of West-MEC’s welding programs.
