NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE INFOSENSE, INC.

Description of Intended Products or Services Provided: The Wastewater Collection Division maintains the County’s wastewater collection system. The current cleaning process requires four staff members to utilize county-owned specialized Jet/Vactor trucks for pre-cleaning the pipeline and using multiple truckloads of fresh water to flush the lines. Then the Camera Truck is used for video inspection. The camera truck can take hours to set up the needed equipment, perform the view, properly document all findings, and retrieve the camera equipment. Due to various factors such as manpower constraints and unforeseen emergencies, the process often takes weeks to months to clean and inspect a specific area. The SL-RAT Acoustic Inspection System requires only two staff members in a standard vehicle to inspect over 1,000 feet of pipeline in a single day. This will improve the ability to meet the requirements set forth by the State to inspect the County’s entire wastewater sewer pipeline without incurring any penalties or having to increase staff time. The County’s specialized trucks will only be used when the SL-RAT detects an area of the pipeline in need of service, reducing unnecessary wear and tear on these trucks, and extending their useful life, as well as reduce staff labor hours needed to inspect the pipelines. The intended products are the SL-RAT Acoustic Inspection Device, SL-DOG Software, including all services, accessories, parts, and repair items associated with the equipment listed.
