Description
The City of Santa Monica, (referred to hereafter as “the City”) is inviting proposals from qualified persons or firms who would like an interesting art installation challenge. Light Paintings 01 is a wall-sized artwork of dichroic glass fins epoxied to panels. It consists of nine panels, each weighing approximately 189 pounds and measuring 4.5’ wide x 11.75’ tall x at most 3.5” deep (depending on glass orientation). The panels are to be installed in a three-story stairwell, in the 7” deep space between the stair railing and the wall. A mandatory site visit will be scheduled prior to the due date for proposals and is essential to understanding the project.
