Town of Morinville-RFP-Commercial & Industrial Attraction Strategy Development
Town of Morinville
Description
Morinville is seeking proposals from qualified consultants with demonstrated experience in economic development, business attraction, market analysis, and commercial and industrial growth strategy development to establish a strategic, market-driven approach to attracting new commercial and industrial investment, supporting business expansion, diversifying the local economy, and strengthening Morinville’s long-term economic sustainability. Located within the Edmonton Metropolitan Region, Morinville offers businesses access to a growing regional market, a skilled workforce, established transportation connections, and opportunities for commercial and industrial development. Morinville wishes to build on these advantages by identifying its most competitive investment opportunities, understanding market demand, and developing a clear value proposition for prospective businesses and investors. Through this RFP, Morinville is seeking a consultant to develop a practical and actionable Commercial & Industrial Attraction Strategy that identifies priority sectors, target businesses, investment opportunities, and effective approaches to business recruitment and investment attraction. The strategy should be informed by current market conditions, regional economic trends, available commercial and industrial lands, local infrastructure and servicing capacity, and Morinville’s existing economic strengths and competitive advantages. The successful proponent will work collaboratively with Morinville administration and relevant stakeholders to develop a strategy that establishes clear priorities, measurable objectives, and realistic implementation actions. The final deliverable should provide Morinville with the tools, market intelligence, and strategic direction necessary to proactively pursue new investment, encourage business growth, increase non-residential development opportunities, and position Morinville as a competitive destination for commercial and industrial development within the Edmonton Metropolitan Region. Morinville welcomes proposals from consultants who can demonstrate a strong understanding of municipal economic development, a results-oriented approach to investment attraction, and the ability to translate research and analysis into practical initiatives that deliver measurable economic benefits for Morinville.
