TRAVEL-1727 - USA (Washington, DC) - Literacy Professional Learning Summit Service - Deadline July 16,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide literacy professional learning summit service to the government authority located in Washington, DC.• Contractor to support the planning and coordination of a citywide Literacy Professional Learning Summit scheduled for September 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.• The summit will bring together 250 DC educators, instructional coaches, school and LEA leaders, and community partners for a full day of professional learning and collaboration led by national and local experts and researchers.• The contractor will collaborate with agency staff to plan and coordinate professional development sessions grounded in evidence‑based practices and designed to provide in‑depth, interactive learning on effectively analyzing literacy data, making data‑informed instructional decisions, and implementing multi‑tiered systems of support (MTSS) for children from birth through grade 12.• The contractor will support agenda curation by selecting one (1) keynote speaker and one (1) national speaker, and by managing the call for proposals for an additional 10–15 local speakers for breakout sessions• The contractor will also produce event signage, assist with communications and outreach, and provide on‑site support and technical assistance on the day of the event• Comprehensive literacy instruction: Means instruction that ––a) Includes developmentally appropriate, contextually explicit, and systematic instruction, and frequent practice, in reading and writing across content areas;b) Includes age–appropriate, explicit, systematic, and intentional instruction inphonological awareness, phonic decoding, vocabulary, language structure, reading fluency, and reading comprehension;c) Includes age–appropriate, explicit instruction in writing, including opportunities for children to write with clear purposes, with critical reasoning appropriate to the topic and purpose, and with specific instruction and feedback from instructional staff(2) The contract period will be for one year.
