CRP 5903 Canyon Road East

Pierce County Planning and Public Works, Office of the County Engineer, requests qualifications from consulting engineering firms capable of preparing the preliminary design for County Road Project, CRP 5903. The project will reconstruct Canyon Road East between 72nd Street E and Pioneer Way E as a four-lane arterial with 11-ft lanes, 4-ft shoulders, curb & gutter, and 6-ft sidewalks on both sides. The project limits extend from approximately 350 feet north of 72nd Street E (north end of CRP 5736, currently under construction) to approximately 2,000 feet south of Pioneer Way E (south end of CRP 5643). The project includes improvements to create a fish-passable crossing of Canyon Road East and stream enhancements to mitigate sediment transport and re-establish the historic grade of the creek.
