24-25 Class and Compensation Study

sbcag / Administration and Finance

Description

SBCAG is requesting proposals for professional services to conduct a comprehensive Classification and Compensation Study and Analysis. SBCAG employs a total of 21 full time employees that span 13 job classifications in addition to the Executive Director. We are requesting proposals from qualified human resources consultants familiar with conducting classification and compensation studies, specifically for agencies in the public sector. A review of current employee job descriptions, position classifications, compensation levels as well as benefits offered will further help to ensure that SBCAG’s salaries and benefits remain competitive and is intended to evaluate whether SBCAG is offering competitive compensation and benefits so that we can attract and retain qualified staff. It will further develop and maintain proper labor market relationships for comparable positions as well as establish appropriate internal alignments inclusive of the Executive Director. SBCAG’s pay structure was last updated in 2021 with some of the recommended adjustments being implemented. SBCAG employees are not represented by any bargaining units, however, some employees are subject to Civil Service rules, while most are at-will employees. The study resulting from this solicitation will evaluate and recommend appropriate updates to current policies and procedures for proposing and implementing future salary and benefit adjustments including salary, cost of living adjustments, and job descriptions.
