(1) Vendor needs to provide hall and museum architectural services to the government authority located in Westford, MA.– Architectural firms to submit qualifications for professional historic architectural, engineering, preservation, and related design services associated with improvements to two historically significant municipal buildings.– Architectural firm with demonstrated expertise in historic preservation and rehabilitation, including natural slate roofing, historic cupola and exterior architectural restoration, building–envelope rehabilitation, accessibility improvements within historic structures, and Massachusetts public building projects.– Selected firm will serve as the prime Designer for both projects and will be responsible for coordinating all architectural, engineering, historic–preservation, cost–estimating, environmental, hazardous–material, and other specialty consultants necessary to complete the work.– Existing natural slate type, size, thickness, condition, coursing, and installation.– Existing slate attachment system and fasteners.– Roof deck, sheathing, substrate, blocking, nailers, and related supporting materials.– Underlayment and waterproofing conditions.– Flashing and sheet–metal conditions, including valleys, transitions, penetrations, counterflashing, and drip edges.– Detailed investigation of cupola–to–roof interfaces.– Fascia, rake boards, cornices, soffits, moldings, and associated architectural woodwork.– Existing roof drainage and conditions contributing to water infiltration.– Ventilation and moisture–management conditions affecting roof performance.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than November 13, 2026.(3) Briefing session and site visit will be held on November 12, 2026.
