The Urbana Fire Department routinely responds to emergencies involving immediately danger to life and health (IDLH) environments. The purpose of this purchase is to update gas monitoring and leak detection equipment that we use when responding to these incidents to determine if certain hazards exist in the environment. The Urbana Fire Department also acknowledges the need for routine calibration of the monitoring equipment for it's proper function.
