Vendor needs to provide sheltered El social studies supplemental texts services to the government authority located in Michigan– Supply supplemental American History texts for sheltered social studies middle and high school courses serving multilingual learners.– Selected materials will supplement the district’s core social studies curriculum and provide students with accessible, standards–aligned American History content that supports both social studies content knowledge and English language development, beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.– 8 th & 9th grade American History content written at accessible reading levels for English learners, including newcomers and students at beginning and intermediate levels of English proficiency– Alignment with 8 th & 9th Grade Michigan Social Studies Standards– Materials that build students’ academic vocabulary, background knowledge, and content–specific literacy– Opportunities for students to develop reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills within social studies content
