WEED ABATEMENT FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT

The City of Banning (“City”) is seeking a qualified entity or individual (“Company”) to provide on-call services listed in the Scope of Work. This on-call service agreement will be for five (5) years (base year with four (4) optional one-year renewals). The City seeks to create a list of up to four (4) qualified commercial landscape contractors to remove combustive material and/or hazardous vegetation from locations determined by The City to be a public nuisance. Proposals are requested from contractors that have a demonstrated ability to perform the tasks identified in this Request for Proposal (“RFP”). Introduction The properties upon which weed abatement services shall be done consist of private property and some city-owned properties, both undeveloped and developed, upon which combustive material and/or hazardous vegetation form a fire hazard and have been declared a nuisance and a fire hazard. The scope of services includes The Contractor performing hazardous vegetation abatement at numerous sites described in BMC Chapter 8.48.050 and all other relative law provisions. The City is seeking contractors with the proper equipment/personnel to handle this professional service .
