(1) Vendor needs to provide federal government legislative liaison service to the government authority located in Everett, WA. – Provide periodic status reports to board and agency leadership on relevant legislative efforts.– Provide community transit with an end–of–year report.– Provide timely, regular, and special reports to agency leadership and staff on legislative policy, funding, issues, and events.– Understand community transit’s transit development plan, long range plan and other strategic priorities and use that knowledge to act as agency’s eyes and ears.– Participate in the creation, adoption, and implementation of annual federal legislative strategy in coordination with relevant community leadership and staff and communicate with the board of directors as requested.– Review legislation with community transit staff and jointly determine a course of action.– Identify, monitor, and advise on clean energy initiatives and policy affecting public transportation, with a focus on emerging trends and technologies such as zero or low emissions legislation, regulations, advocacy, and funding opportunities as they develop.(2) The contract period will be for five years. (3) All the questions must be submitted no later than August 28, 2026.
