(1) Vendor needs to provide employee dental, vision, life, accidental disability, long & short term disability and cafeteria plan consultant and broker services to the government authority located in Lake Saint Louis, MO.– Provide consultant/broker services for employees’ benefit plans– Consultant/broker may also be asked to provide services for specialty insurance coverage that may be outside the normal market of the selected broker, and as authorized, negotiate premiums, audit policies and rates and provide recommendations for city staff.– Assist with the review and evaluation of the City’s benefit components, specifically in the area of design, funding, cost and administration. This will include a review of current and proposed plan features and rate structures.– Propose recommendations to include comparative alternatives, plan design changes, new products and compliance with all state and federal regulations governing benefit plans.– Review current insurance carrier’s plans and performance, and provide a written report on findings.– Provide projections of benefit trends and identify areas of potential concerns.– Attend meetings called by the City for such purposes of discussion, review, and evaluation of the City’s benefit plans.– Develop a Request for Proposal for administrator and underwriter selection, analysis of proposals, and recommendations of plan design and funding methods to be employed.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
