RFP 25-010 Occupational & Physical Therapy

The Bridgeton Board of Education (district), Bridgeton, NJ is accepting proposals from qualified agencies to provide Physical Therapy. The services shall be well suited to meet the Individual Education Plan (IEP) service requirements of a K-12 school district’s special education students. B. SCOPE OF SERVICES The related service provider(s) for each service shall complete the Special Education Medicaid Initiative (SEMI) related paperwork in a timely manner as it pertains to district procedures. The agency shall be responsible for providing laptops and testing instruments when needed to complete their assignment. Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Services Occupational and Physical Therapy Services shall include, but are not limited to: Services performed in a direct, a consultative manner or a combination of the two. Attendance at the Individual Education Program (IEP) team meetings for students served. Writing appropriate IEP goals for students served Review data on progress towards goals Provide feedback to parents via an IEP progress report (at least as often as the general education students receive report cards, typically every trimester or quarter. The therapists shall become an active member of the Special Education Team at the schools where they are scheduled to service students. The therapists shall evaluate students to assist in determining need or continued need for services. Complete procedural requirement paperwork within legally required timelines. Submit paperwork to District Special Education Office, and team members within required timelines. C. QUALIFICATIONS OF RESPONDENTS The proposer shall have demonstrated experience and expertise in the delivery of the services requested in this solicitation . The service provider organization shall at a minimum possess the following: Employ and provide service staff holding appropriate, current New Jersey license(s). Occupational therapy provider(s) must possess New Jersey licensure as an Occupational Therapists Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant providers must possess New Jersey licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant. Physical Therapy provider(s) must possess New Jersey licensure as a Physical Therapist Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant providers must possess New Jersey licensure as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. Service providers shall meet the same minimum fingerprinting requirements as all district staff members working with students in schools. Proposer shall have on file current, successfully passed background checks and fingerprint check records for all service providers. The firm shall have sufficient administrative staff to provide adequate oversight of the staff assigned to the district per the scope of work in this solicitation. Respondents must be listed as an authorized agency as certified by NJ Department of Education to provide the services requested in the RFP. Service Provider Schedule Physical Therapy (Pre-School Disabled) – Services are required from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Physical Therapy (PT) will be once a week for thirty (30) minutes per individual. Occupational Therapy (OT) 17 504 Students 60 Classified Students 25 Once a week 22 Twice a week 9 Consults 8 Hours Maximum (Full Days) 6 Hours Maximum (Half Days) Current OT hours – 12 and 12 Current COTA hours – 24 and 16 Total hours per week – 64 There are approximately 50 OT evaluations.
