Description

The Work to be performed under these Contract Documents is generally described as follows: Draining and cleaning of the anaerobic digester. Lifting and removal of the anaerobic digester cover. Inspection of the digester cover (which includes the dome, the skirt, the cover’s bottom), pipe supports, mixing nozzles, concrete corbels, digester gas pipe, sludge feed pipe. Final repairs will be determined after inspection has been completed and agreed upon by City and Engineer. Repair of external roof plates Patching and repair of corroded areas as needed. Application of epoxy coating. Replacement of rollers as needed. Repair of the digester cover side skirt which include sandblasting, rewelding and recoating. Repairs will be determined after inspection and agreed upon by City and Engineer. Contractor will develop a tabulation of recommended replacements and repair for owners’ approval. Repair of internal ceiling plates which include sandblasting, rewelding, and recoating. Repairs will be determined after inspection and agreed upon by City and Engineer. Contractor will develop a tabulation of recommended replacements and repair for owners’ approval. Repair of concrete on inside of tank as indicated on drawings. Repairs will be determined after inspection and agreed upon by City and Engineer. Contractor will develop a tabulation of recommended replacements and repair for owners’ approval. Concrete pipe support repair/replacement. Concrete crack repair/replacement. Concrete spall repair/replacement. Concrete ballast blocks replacement. Replacement of plug valves as indicated on drawings. Potential replacement of 16” (DIP), 12” (DIP), 8” (DIP), and 6” (DIP) piping as indicated on drawings. Repairs will be determined after inspection and agreed upon by City and Engineer. Contractor will develop a tabulation of recommended replacements and repair for owners’ approval. Potential replacement of 4" digester gas (SS) pipe as indicated on drawings. Repairs will be determined after inspection and agreed upon by City and Engineer. Contractor will develop a tabulation of recommended replacements and repair for owners’ approval. Potential replacement of glass lined ductile iron mixing noxxles. Nozzles will be inspected and identified for replacement. Reinstallation of digester cover. New digester cover (Bid Alternate-if required and accepted) Other works as described in the BV technical specificaions The Contractor shall provide Fixed project signs as described in Section III, Section 23 of the Contract Documents. The final number of project signs will be determined at the beginning of the project based on the Contractor’s schedule of work submitted for approval. Additional project signs may be required at no additional cost to the city due to the Contractor’s schedule of work. Contract Period: 365 Consecutive Calendar Days
