(1) Vendor needs to provide bookstore services to the government authority located in Palatine, IL. – Provide comprehensive bookstore services and course material solutions that support the academic mission.– The agency seeks a long–term Bookstore Partner that will provide a customer–focused, reliable, affordable, accessible, and sustainable bookstore operation serving students, faculty, staff, and the broader agency community.– The Bookstore Partner shall provide solutions that promote affordability for students while maintaining a financially sustainable and high–quality level of service. Affordability includes, but is not limited to:• Transparent and predictable pricing;• Meaningful opportunities to reduce the total cost of course materials;• Student choice among appropriate purchasing options;• Used, rental, digital, print, and other lower–cost alternatives, as applicable;• Clear disclosure of all fees and costs;• Financial transparency between the College and Bookstore Partner; and• A financial model that minimizes unnecessary institutional costs and risk.– The Bookstore Partner shall provide a financially sustainable operating model that appropriately balances student affordability, service quality, and the agency’s financial interests.– The Bookstore Partner shall provide responsive, professional, and customer–focused service to students, faculty, staff, and other authorized customers. – The Bookstore Partner shall provide and maintain the technology necessary to support the approved bookstore operating model. – The Bookstore Partner shall maintain a staffing continuity and contingency plan sufficient to ensure that required bookstore services remain operational during unexpected employee absences, vacancies, emergencies, or other staffing disruptions. – The Bookstore Partner shall maintain a staffing model capable of adapting to changes in enrollment, academic schedules, course material adoption volumes, bookstore traffic, and the approved operating model.– The Bookstore Partner shall provide appropriate communication and marketing support to ensure that students, faculty, staff, and other College stakeholders receive timely and understandable information regarding bookstore services. (2) All the questions must be submitted no later than October 12, 2026.(3) non–mandatory pre–proposal meeting will be held on October 8, 2026.
