Description
Seminole county seeks a qualified contractor to remove and replace two animal enclosures on the exterior of the building located at 232 Eslinger Way. Sanford, FL. The project will consist of removing two existing enclosures and replacing with one structure that wraps around the outside corner of the building on two sides. An existing monolithic slab will remain in place and used as existing foundation for one portion of the structure. The additional concrete required will be attached with rebar and epoxy materials as standard practice. The structure will consist of white extruded aluminum frame with 3 inch NON insulated roof panels, attached to the building with C-channel or as designed by a licensed Engineer. The structure will have bug screen attached to the exterior and 1-inch square galvanized welded wire mesh mechanically fastened to the inside of the framing, for added security and protection from damage potentially caused to the screens by the animals housed within the enclosure. The screen walls will have a 36-inch-high aluminum kickplate on the exterior and two screen doors located on each end of the design shape for entry/exit convenience. There will be one divider wall with a similar screen door installed, to separate the enclosure into two equal portions, the interior partition will be designed with same specifications as the exterior walls. Contractors will be responsible for calculating all square footages of concrete to be installed and or replaced, as well as all material quantities, sizes, thicknesses, etc. to meet specifications as mentioned herein and for permit and design criteria as required. It will be the awarded contractor’s responsibility to obtain the appropriate engineering design drawings to satisfy building code requirements, zoning requirements, for both permit applications and installation methods of all materials used. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for all cleanup, debris removal, and replacement of any damages caused to the property during construction work. Sod, irrigation etc. Additionally, it will be the contractor’s responsibility to confirm any setback requirements imposed by the building and zoning dept. for said structure. Contractors will be required to call for utility locates prior to work commencement and ensure no utilities are affected or disturbed during construction. A preliminary drawing will be provided by the awarded contractor prior to any design drawings for permits are created, so county staff can review and approve of final design prior to permitting. The awarded contractor will provide and maintain a two-year warranty on all work for both material and installation of the structure. Alternate request: Please provide a separate quote to install pet screen in lieu of bug screen.
