(1) Vendor needs to provide public relations and communications services.– Provide strategic communications anticipates a substantial increase in workload and new projects and is seeking an experienced team of communications strategists, public relations and marketing professionals who are up–to–date on the latest trends and technologies in the internal and external communications, marketing and outreach fields, particularly as it relates to the transportation industry.– Current resources and capacity of the office of strategic communications and the entire department with the goal of helping to ensure successful internal and public facing outcomes for department initiatives, programs and project delivery.– They are: strategic communications counsel, branding support, and campaign support.– Assist with strategic communications counsel:– Planning for small to medium public outreach campaigns.– Assist with branding support to include communications planning and collateral development support:– Develop and implement a communications audit system to determine the effectiveness and reach of current internal and external communications, creative services, public outreach, district communications, board support, and social media programs.– Assist with campaign support to include media outreach and public relations:– Media approach, media penetration and value–added media.– Media story placement strategies and tracking and reporting of value–added media.– Assist with presentation planning, development and delivery support:– Develop presentation frameworks and supporting materials that clearly communicate key messages, objectives and desired outcomes, ensuring content is tailored to the intended audience and aligned with organizational priorities and brand standards.– Online community development (social media and video).– Website:– Ability to create wire frame mock–ups for programs, projects and campaign usage.– Create training for offices and divisions to assist with keeping webpages updated across the department.– Public outreach or community engagement campaigns.– Media relations.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
