(1) Vendor needs to provide emergency physician services for direct patient care and consultation include ambulatory and emergency medical treatment for patients of all ages, including urgent care, trauma, surgical, gynecological, and general medical services, in hospitals, clinics, or other designated health care facilities to the government authority located in Rockville, MD.– The position operates in a 24–hour emergency care setting providing specialized trauma and emergency services. The Emergency Department treats approximately 40,000 patients annually, with a majority presenting for urgent and emergent care after hours.– Emergency Medical Services personnel, and maintaining admitting privileges with responsibility for inpatient care as needed.– The supervisor provides very broad administrative guidance and policy direction. The incumbent plans and initiates work independently; plans, designs, and carries out the work to be completed and serves as a technical authority.– The work involves isolating and defining unprecedented issues and unknown conditions; formulating and exploring new theories and phenomena; developing, testing, and advising on new approaches, theories, or methods; and providing expert advice and guidance to officials, administrators, and healthcare providers on a wide range of medical and healthcare concerns.
