Description
Tampa Fire Rescue requires advanced chemical detection tools to enhance the safety and efficiency of its hazardous materials (HazMat) operations. As part of ongoing efforts to modernize equipment and improve response times, the department seeks to procure two types of handheld chemical analyzers: a Raman Spectroscopy device and a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy device. These instruments will significantly improve the capability of first responders to identify hazardous chemicals and unknown substances in the field, leading to more informed decision-making and reducing the risks to both responders and the public.
