(1) Vendor needs to provide aging health promotion and development contractor service.– Health Promotion and Development Contractor whose responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the coordination of the following: Provide a Senior Exercise Program that mixes exercise and health education.– The program must include an evidence–based balance–based program and a tai chi program.• Tailored for Seniors: Designed with an understanding of the specific physical limitations and needs of older adults• Emphasis on Safety: Incorporates warm–up’s, cool–downs, and activities at a comfortable pace to prevent injury,• Focus on Functionality: Targets exercises that mimic everyday movements to enhance daily living activities and independence.• Supportive Atmosphere: Encourages participation through a friendly, non–intimidating, and community–focused environment.• Incorporation of Adaptable Exercises: May include chair–based options or modifications for different fitness levels and abilities.– Contractor will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:• Maintaining and establishing locations for this program, at no cost to the County,• Recruitment and training of volunteers and leaders.• Identifying equipment and supply needs.• Development of educational programming for use in the exercise program.• Maintaining contact with volunteer exercise leaders and maintaining program records.• Coaches Training– the contractor will work on organizing coaches’ training, recruiting, and assigning volunteer coaches, and assigning coaches to classes.• Coaching/Leading Classes– contractor will serve as a class coach where needed and/or determined to be beneficial.• Observing/Leading Classes– the contractor will observe classes where necessary to ensure that coaches are following program protocol.(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than August 19, 2026.
