The County of Riverside Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff's Office (RSO), is seeking quotations for fitness equipment as specified in this Request for Quotation (RFQ). Riverside County, established in 1893 from portions of San Bernardino and San Diego counties, is the fourth-largest county in California, covering over 7,300 square miles. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office, with more than 4,000 dedicated law enforcement professionals, serves Southern California's diverse communities with integrity, professionalism, leadership, and loyalty. The RSO recognizes the vital importance of fitness equipment in promoting the physical well-being of all personnel and fostering a culture of health and wellness. Law enforcement officers perform physically demanding tasks essential to public safety, such as high-speed pursuits and suspect apprehensions, which require stamina and strength. Access to quality fitness equipment is crucial to helping officers improve their physical abilities and stay in peak condition. This commitment to fitness not only protects officers' health but also contributes to a safer environment for the communities they serve. As a result, officers can perform their vital duties with confidence and effectiveness. This Request for Quotation (RFQ) aims to establish a one (1) year contract, with the option to renew for four (4) additional 12-month periods, for the purchase of gym equipment on as-needed basis. Contract award will depend on the availability of budgetary funding and will be granted to the lowest, most responsible, responsive bidder. This contract will serve all departments within the RSO. Bidders should be aware that the County may award a contract based solely on the initial submissions. Therefore, all pricing must reflect the bidder’s most competitive and complete offer. Additionally, all quoted prices should be detailed and inclusive of any associated costs. The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive delivery service that includes several key steps: uncrating or unboxing the equipment, professional installation, calibrating the machinery for optimal performance, and disposing of any associated cardboard packaging. This delivery service is categorized as “white glove,” as outlined in “Exhibit C,” which indicates a high level of care and attention throughout the delivery process.
