Description
Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) is a community-owned electric utility, and is implementing ambitious and impactful clean-energy goals. As such, PWP is seeking a consultant to perform services in the areas of Branding, Strategy, Research and Planning; Creative Design and Content (including but not limited to graphic design, website design and video production); Public Relations and Social Media; and Media Planning, Buying, Reporting and Analytics, Marketing, Communications and Public Engagement support for PWP projects with an immediate focus on Pasadena's 100% carbon-free by 2030 goal; including an Optimized Strategic Plan (OSP) and electric rate study. PWP aims to communicate and market a consistent and effective message that showcases the value of carbon-free energy, and informs and engages stakeholders. The Consultant will work with PWP to assess and address gaps in communication and marketing. PWP seeks a consultant to work in collaboration with the utility and the City’s public information office in compliance with City protocols. The Consultant will design, develop, and implement an effective marketing, branding, and public relations (PR) plan that aligns with and helps meet the City goals. Services will include, but not be limited to: material and content development (presentations, talking points, press releases, etc), media relations, graphic design, storytelling support, workshop development and more. The Consultant services will include a rebrand of current marketing materials, outreach and content calendar, and the creation of new outreach materials, website content, social media templates and posts, PR, outreach, and overall communications. The plans and strategies developed will account for the diversity of the City of Pasadena, its sector needs and cultural identities.
