GRANT-SAWYER HOME CARRIAGE HOUSE RENOVATION

The City of Grove City, through the City Administrator, will receive sealed bids for the GRANT-SAWYER HOME CARRIAGE HOUSE RENOVATION project via Bid Express, until 10:00 a.m. local time on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. Grove City will neither open nor accept bids received after that time. Subject to the right of Grove City to reject any or all bids, Grove City will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best bid(s). The work for which Grove City is inviting bids consists of the following: Base Bid • Includes replacement of existing roof, upgrading electrical service and the fabrication and installation of new exterior metal stairs at the Grant-Sawyer Carriage House, 4126 Haughn Road. Additional Bid 1 • Includes removal of existing windows and installation of vinyl replacement windows. The estimated costs of construction for the work outlined in the plans and specifications for the various bids are: Base Bid: $212,000 Additional Bid 1: $15,000 Contract Documents and Specifications may be obtained from Bid Express only and at the costs associated with the Bid Express service fee schedule. Payment for these items will not be refunded. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Grant-Sawyer Home property (4126 Haughn Road) on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. to measure, review the facility and discuss any questions potential bidders may have. Any bidders wishing to visit the site, other than at the pre-bid meeting, must coordinate with the City prior to visiting. To schedule a visit, bidders can contact Bill Milburn at (614) 277-1119. Schedule: The work shall commence within sixty (60) calendar days after the City issues the Notice to Proceed for the Contract. It shall be substantially completed no later than October 31, 2026. Access to the location outside of the dates and times listed above is prohibited. The contractor must be registered with the City of Grove City, and all licenses/ bonds must be updated and current. The contractor is responsible for permits.
